DSFL Team of (Half) Year
Quarterback
North: Wendell Sailor (@.simo)
South: Malcolm Savage (@MN_Moosey)
These quarterbacks have led their teams to the top of their respective divisions. Sailor has done it on amazing TD/INT efficiency and Savage has proved to be a dual threat beating defenses through the air and on the ground.
Running Back
North: Rocky Rhoads (@platanocat)
South: John Riggins (@cole6249)
Rhoads has had an amazing year, leading the DSFL in carries and yards, and is second in rushing touchdowns. Leading the league in rushing touchdowns, however, is John Riggins. Both players average a very healthy 4+ yards per carry.
Wide Receiver
North: DeAndre King (@TubbyTim69)
South: Malcador "The Hero" (@SnowyWolfz)
What a tough group to pick from. King gets the nod for leading the league in receiving yards and a great 17.3 yards per reception on average. Malcador finds a nice balance of being third in receiving yards and tied for second in receiving touchdowns. We've got a great group of wide receivers in the DSFL and you could make an argument for a dozen of them to be named here.
Tight End
North: Mark Goodhead (@CptGoosar)
South: Anthony MacGuire (@Pythonic)
Goodhead is having an outstanding year, with nearly 600 yards and 6 touchdowns so far. MacGuire has been a big help for Dallas, finding the endzone on three occasions.
Offensive Line
North: Dallas Fort-Worth (@Minnesotafine)
South: A Kicker (@Jobin)
These two players lead the league in pancakes. Fort-Worth takes the top spot there but Kicker has allowed zero sacks on the season. Impressive performances from both players.
Defensive Line
North: Franklin Turtle (@thevoicelesscreator)
South: Caleb Watt (@Spartan)
Watt has an outstanding 6 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Turtle is tied for the league lead with 8 tackles for loss and has forced 2 fumbles to go along with 3 sacks.
Linebacker
North: Spicy Ron (@PugWalrus)
South: Sconnie McHits (@g2019)
This is another position with many players deserving the nod here. Ron and McHits are tops in the league in sacks and that pushes them over the top. The future of the league is in good hands at the linebacker position.
Cornerback
North: The Laz (@C9Van)
South: Ben Delabaguette (@Helcim)
Yet another category with many deserving players. Delabaguette and Laz both are near the top of the league with 3 interceptions apiece and both have over a dozen pass deflections. Laz has also added a defensive touchdown.
Safety
North: Siaosi Multiauaopele (@TubaMasterFlex)
South: Lance Witt (@solas)
This will sound like a broken record but once again there are a number of players who could have been selected here. Multiauaopele and Witt have had impressive all around seasons contributing in many categories and deserve recognition.
Kicker
North: Levy Tate (@Sloths1)
South: Jack Lewis (@jackalewis229)
Lewis has had an incredible season for the high-powered Norfolk offense, leading the league in extra point and field goal makes. Tate has been perfect with extra point attempts and has the longest field goal of the season at 57 yards.
