I really don’t follow the league too closely anymore, so I don’t think I even know which players are on my team… Or rather what their player’s names are. Sorry, not sorry. So really, the only player that stands out to me, is my own, Franklin Turtle, Defensive Tackle for the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Last season, through 14 games, Franklin Turtle had 30 tackles, 1 tackle-for-loss, and 2 sacks. While the team did very well, Franklin had what you could probably call a poor season. However, as that was his rookie stats, it was had to say whether or not that would be the norm or not.
Looking at this season, it appears last season may have been evident of rookie growing pains. Because through 7 games, Franklin Turtle has been one of the best defensive linemen in the DSFL. Still playing for the Grey Ducks, he is having a career-best season in almost every metric. At the time of writing, he has 40 tackles, 8 tackles-for-loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 sacks. While it may not be enough to be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year, I certainly believe that Mr. Turtle is one of the best Defensive Tackles in the league!
