Task 3:
There are so many users and players that I could put on a Colorado Yeti Mt. Rushmore. I'm going to really go with my formative years & the yeti as it stands right now.
First and foremost is Tesla: While she is the GM and there's a certain amount of 'You need to be present' that happens, if you don't know Tesla well, you might not realize the actual incredible amount of work that can be for her at times. However, when she makes that effort, she does it 10x better than anyone else - responding to everyone and everything that has happened in the locker room since she was last around (which is a big deal) and making sure to be a huge part of the conversation. Whether she's making you laugh, gasp, or she's chastising you, she's an incredibly huge part of the culture that the Colorado Yeti have right now. Couple this with the impact that Tesla has on a user, even if she doesn't think she does - Tesla makes you feel loved and wanted and cared about. You never have to question if someone saw your message, because Tesla did, even if she isn't able to respond right at this moment.
Second on the list goes to former teammate Ephy. He's a staple in the locker room. He's around, active, and always includes and encourages others. Without Ephy part of the locker room would feel quiet, and it just wouldn't be quite right. There would be something missing. He's truly one of the more active users and people in the locker room, and I've loved being able to become his friend over the past several seasons. He's always friendly, ready to help, and I was incredibly sad when he retired McFredbeard and the season ended. It meant that he was no longer in all of the spaces of the LR. Fortunately, public channels are typically our go to anyway, but it was definitely a bummer moment.
Third would be Isa. Even when Isa wasn't on Colorado, he was probably more active in the locker room than any other discord channel. He will include everyone, still was so active and engaging with any rookies that were invited in, and over the past 11 seasons in Colorado, he has been pivotal in many free agency acquisitions and team decisions. Even as a new GM, Isa was the other mentor in my corner - having been a GM himself. I couldn't imagine the team without him, as he is truly one of the pivotal voices in the chats. Topping the leaderboards there, he has always been one to offer build advice, help test things for the team, be the sounding board for both the good and bad ideas.
Finally, Sylphreni rounds out this list. Syl was one of the first people to have scouted me as a user, and then quickly became my GM partner and mentor, and even after he stepped down, and I stepped down, I have learned so much. Consistently looking at ways to engage the team, Syl is the reason why so many of us loved Colorado and wanted to stick around. He was initially a huge proponent of finding games that we could play together as a team, setting up movie nights, or even just finding time for us to hang out and play some D&D one-shots. Multiple times a week there are numerous Yeti (and past Yeti) that are just hanging out in the locker room voice chats, playing games, watching, and having fun. Syl is able to take almost any situation (yes, including the Big Edd/Nunc trade), and turn it into a humorous situation. Tempering a team when emotions are hot, having the ability to turn the situation around, is very much within his wheelhouse and while I wasn't always able to mimic his ability to do so, it's something that I consistently looked up to.
Special shoutouts go to Longtime Yeti: Swanky, Duke, and Bagel. The three of you make up the team, and I'm so incredibly excited to see where you take the team moving forward, Swanky. I think you are an incredibly brilliant GM, and I'm so grateful to have you around to be able to see the team flourish under you.
