14. The Minnesota Grey Ducks season was definitely a wild one with some low lows, some high highs, and low highs and everything you can think of i in between. We also had some fantastic vertebrae players reallybleading the team and some awesome GMs along with some great TDL pickups! Well basically all of the TDL pick ups lol. As you probably already know, we finished 1 win away from winning the whole thing. Just like we did last season. Gosh it definitely sucked the first time, but doing it two times in a row dang that sucks. But looking at our team I’m not sure if anyone really expected the ducks to make it that far into the playoffs and to the mini. Especially after the start to the season we had. I was not expecting to win and play the rest of the season like we did. We ended up going in a great run and making the playoffs it was awesome. As for what we could’ve done differently well I’m not sure if there was anything we could have done differently. We game planned well we played well. We also had some really great waiver pick ups and a bunch of us were updating in time. It just ended in one of those sim is gonna sim ways. Expectations for the ducks next season is pretty low I’d say. They are losing a bunch of players to call ups including myself. It’s definitely going to be a rebuilding season in Minnesota, but I’m confident the GMs can do a great job picking up defensive and offensive weapons in the upcoming DSFL draft. They also have a habit of picking up all of the TDL waivers so that might help them out too, but yeah definitely time to rebuild but you never know what could happen. (308)
13. Expand or not to expand that is a super tough question. I can think of solid points for both, but I definitely know where I lie. So first off let’s start with expanding. Expanding the league would be tons of fun. It does t matter if it’s at the ISFL OR THE DSFL. I do think it makes more sense to expand at the DSLF level though mostly because it’ll get those waiver players more of an opportunity to play. Last season we saw Minnesota with a majority of them so not all of them got the play time they were hoping to see when joining a sim league. If you expanded the DSFL it’ll give more new guys a chance to play and it’ll also help with retention. Seeing you player actually play will probably get more people to fall in love with the league and commit to improving their player and getting involved. Imagine joining a sim league and not seeing your player touch the field at all. Pretty discouraging, expanding will help with that. Now what might that look like. So I’m a chargers fan. A San Diego chargers fan. I would absolutely love to see a DSFL team placed in San Diego. Maybe it could have like a beach vibe like the San Diego Wave or maybe navy themed since it is a navy town and have them be the Admirals or something. As for the second team maybe something in Boston would be fun. Boston riders and have it Paul revere themed? Welp as for the biggest reason to not expand I’d say just having the manning to run these extra teams and players to fill these extra teams. The last thing we would want is for these teams to be filled with bot players. That can definitely ruin the experience a bit. Welp I’m already at 300 so I guess ill tell you what side I’m on. I think I’m at the not expand side unless it’s shown that the DSFL really does need new teams because people aren’t starting. This was a fun question! (351)
