although he is neither an ISFL or a DSFL rookie, Simon the Frog has to attend this year's rookie minicamp as a player being called up to the ISFL for the first time. The first hurdle for Simon was adjusting, as he literally had to move halfways through the globe-from Bondi Beach to Yellowknife- and had to adjust to a completely different climate. And on top of that, he had to adjust to playing in a completely different defense, with new teammates. So he spent a lot of time getting accustomed to the new city, learning the new playbook and building a rapport with his teammates. And as a lot of his new teammates were relatively young players, the last part was easy to do. Then, he had some training to do. Even though Simon did just alright in the DSFL, the ISFL is a completely different story. this is a league where there are at least one wide receiver who run a 4.3 40 or less in basically every team. so Simon had to focus his training on speed and tackling, in order to contain those speedy receivers and not be a liability. Simon would focus on flashy stuff like hands for interceptions later. (205)
