The Kansas City rooks came into the locker room wide eyed and in awe, for many it was a dream come true, a chance to prove themselves on the biggest stage. They had been working towards this moment their whole lives, and to some it was almost too much to take in. Rookie minicamp progressed without a hitch, the rookies ran through the playbook and got one on one training with their position coaches. However on the last day of minicamp things seemed off, but they couldn’t place their finger on it. Dusty Wilson’s shoes had been switched, now his left shoe was his right shoe. Known Acquaintance couldn’t find his kicking gloves, no matter where he looked. Larry Fisherman’s locker now said DT. And Baccari Rambo found a handle of Jack Daniels in his locker. What does that even mean? Yet they buckled down and went about practice like nothing happened. When they returned from the showers, they found everything was back as it should be, albeit with one additional note. “Signed, the ghost of Kansas City past.”
