Football is played rain or shine, so adding an element of weather isn't going to affect scheduling or anything like that. What it would absolutely do is give an edge to teams with a strong run game. We see it every year in the NFL - when you get into the winter months, having a strong running back is paramount to success. Doesn't mean that a shivering quarterback can't win it, but it makes a good running back and offensive line even more important than in fair weather games. It's fun to watch shootouts with long bomb passes, but when it's pouring or a blizzard, that's simply not how the game of football works. With more realistic weather, we'd all be pouring points into strength and agility even faster, as those traits are what gets someone through such a game. Not to mention endurance, as all of our stamina is quenched much faster in certain weather conditions. While weather adds a cool nuance to the NFL or college football, a sim is all about controlling whatever you can and this would just make it feel even more fluky when someone wins. We certainly don't need more reasons to complain - "sim's gonna sim" after all.
