Inclement weather football is the best football. In real life, we often see teams revert back to an older style of football in extreme conditions where wind, rain, or snow are involved. Teams will run the ball at a much higher rate and sometimes avoid throwing almost entirely. Tricky weather conditions just make passing the ball too unpredictable. The ball gets slippery, wind can affect the ball's flight, players hands get less responsive. Throwing the ball in those circumstances is a recipe for disaster. I would imagine if the sim could account for weather conditions, teams that adopt that same older strategy would fare the best. To be successful in that environment, linemen need to be able to push back the defensive front, despite them knowing runs are likely coming. Running backs need to be able to make the most of small gaps in the line and take advantage of any slip up on the defense. For a defense to be successful in bad weather, they need to be as disruptive as possible in the trenches and blow up the run game. Any team that can dominate in these three areas will be the most successful in inclement weather.
