We all know that if weather was a factor in these games then Yellowknife would be the team that has the best advantage. It’s literally the most northern team of any team in the league and basically plays in an eternal winter. Imagine San Jose or Sarasota trying to travel to Yellowknife and play a game in -10 degrees in December or January. It would be such a game changer for cold weather teams and would influence turnovers a lot more. We would probably see a pretty big uptick in running as well as teams look to protect the ball. Honestly it would be pretty awesome and I’m all for it. I don’t think the warm weather teams would have any advantage. It would probably be a pretty cool for a team to build a dome though. So that they could open it and close it based on the weather. That is something that would be cool to add into the game.
