Tier 2, Task 9
The power of commissioner is something that should not be given lightly but suddenly having the winning lottery numbers to gain the power for a day has allowed some changes that I feel the league could use. There have been many quick changes toward a well-run league so finding huge history altering changes might be a challenge, but there are still some steps that I feel could be made. With the recent experience I have as a defensive end, I feel that the main area of concern is to try making this position much more entertaining for all users involved instead of just having two or three users enjoying the dreaded pick of being in the edge of the trenches. General managers constantly have to sacrifice their playing fun for the spot to fill in there where it could be fixed so this issue is no longer as prevalent as it has been.
To begin, making offensive linemen slightly weaker should be an easy fix to test out to see defensive ends get some better success. Currently, defensive ends are on a tackling range of 85-90 with offensive tackles’ lowest pass/run blocking rating being 90 puts ends at a disadvantage. There is not a major secondary defensive end attribute to buff up those success rates either since other changes have been made to try “fixing” defensive ends to little or no success. Bringing the blocking attributes by 5 for offensive tackles would be my first suggestion. Another suggestion would be to see if the sim tracks quarterback pressures from a defensive end to add to the stats when award voting comes around. Some defensive ends are not successful at just sacks and provide more in the way of hurries or pure pressure instead. Getting into the minute stats of defensive ends can also help defensive tackles and make it more rewarding for the positions to attract more users. As of right now, the positions sit as Venus fly traps for users that either get really successful at only 800-1000 TPE or those that never become good at any TPE level without any correlation to their builds.
Tier 2, Task 10
The famed Armor Queen did not begin life as the King of the Round Table and wielder of Excalibur. Instead, Aurora began with the dream to revive the tales of her ancestor, King Arthur, for the modern world. It was difficult to begin that dream without some sort of Excalibur to draw from stone to show her might. During the search, she continued to study in school while constantly on the hunt for the sword which proved more challenging than she had hoped. On a dark and stormy night, Aurora was rushing home after class toward her flat when she lost her footing on the steep hill leading up to her home before passing out. Her life changed in an instant from that brief head injury.
When she came out of her brief blackout only a few minutes later, she saw the sword that she had long waited for. A shining light from the sky above lit up this beautiful saber before her that soon was pulled from the thick mud at the bottom of the hill she was at, raised into the air, and Aurora believed fully that she had become King Arthur. A man quickly rushed down the hill to check on the girl who had just fallen down into this ditch, worried about the large red bump on her as his headlights shined this broken umbrella she had in hand. The man spoke from behind his jaguar mask, introducing himself as Armor King and telling her that he could take her to a hospital nearby. Aurora enjoyed that she had found herself Excalibur and now her Merlin which gave her the idea to become Armor Queen for the guide she now had. Aurora reassured the man that she never felt better before walking off, completely changed from her past.
