The answer here is simple for the Tijuana Luchadores. We are all extremely competitive. Therefore it wasn't difficult to get us all to join a fantasy football league. Having done this, we have one rule in our league. If you commit more than one penalty in a game, or if you have any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct, you are forced to bench your quarterback for the week and leave the roster spot open. What we've found is that players are laser focused on not being "that guy" who wrecks a drive because they also want to keep their guy, their most important player, on the team each week. This league is for bragging rights primarily, but each player also put in $100 so the prizes are nothing to sneer about. When asked about this system, Coach replied, "I thought it was stupid when someone first suggested it to me, but hell, if it works it works." Week one they committed 4 penalties compared to 11 by the opposition, so maybe teams ought to take notice of this bizarre practice.
