Thankfully, Yellowknife doesn't have to worry much about team morale after losses. On the rare occasion the Wraiths lose, it's more of a shocking disbelief than a begrudging anger at other teammates. So, instead of talking about how we keep our locker room positive after a loss, I'll mention more about how we maintain a humble atmosphere even when a game feels more like a scrimmage against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Due to the excellent leadership of our GMs, the Yellowknife Wraiths have instilled an extremely professional locker room environment that rivals the professional-est of all the professional organizations. They do a phenomenal job at getting every member of the team on the same page before each game and making sure that any emotional outbursts are controlled and don't spiral out of control. Even though emotions are a normal part of human reactions, they don't have to drive all of your decisions. A large majority of the time, an emotional response hurts others more than you intended.
