Hmmmmm this might not be the best question to be asking a San Jose Sabrecat at this moment in time. We currently lead the league in penalties with 48 penalties from 6 games, an average of 8 penalties per game! So, it seems discipline is certainly an issue this season. This could be to do with the relatively high turnover of players recently in San Jose, a lot of younger guys stepping up, including our quarterback. This could certainly be the crux of the issue. As a team, we prefer to keep a good locker room atmosphere and chewing guys out for stupid penalties seems counter productive in this instance. The best way is for the players friends to rally round, work out why the penalties are happening and help them work on that side of their game. A healthy dose of ridicule certainly helps focus the mind, maybe giving someone on the O-line a ‘false starter of the week’ prize in front of everyone?
