Although the New York Silverbacks have seen a lot of success this season, things haven't always gone so smoothly. The last few seasons have seen quite a few ups and downs and the coaches tried a number of different strategies to keep the players engaged, focused, and calm. The results were varied, until one day something stuck. It immediately motivated the team and brought them all together. Players felt more united, were able to let go of a tough loss easier, and were ready to take on the challenge of the next game. That groundbreaking strategy? Making fun of cornerback Dax Dangerfield. Like, really laying into him. And as poorly as Dax had played the last few seasons he had no choice but to sit there and take it. This technique has not only helped recenter the team, it now seems to be paying dividends for Dangerfield himself. The cornerback is enjoying his best season in ages. And he credits it all to the vicious mockery he has received from his teammates.
