Task 9
I think that there are multitudes of moment across the history of the ISFL that have changed the course of seasons, careers, and teams, and I can't think of a better one to talk about than the moment that changed my own career on my previous player, Dexter Zaylren. During the S34 offseason, my player was put on the board, as Berlin was either going to sneak into the playoffs at the very edge, or miss them entirely and enter a rebuild due to the very concerning shape of the defense. Another team, Honolulu, had a good squad that was a couple seasons off between the peak of their QB and the peak of the rest of the team. Honolulu had all the pieces they needed but only had one or two seasons left with them. Berlin had a QB that was much younger than the rest of the team. And so, during the S34 ISFL draft, the two teams swapped QBs. Berlin received Joilet Christ Jr., Honolulu's former QB, and Honlulu's 6th overall pick that season. Honolulu received Dexter Zaylren and Berlin's S35 3rd round pick. What followed was a very dominant 4 years by Honolulu, and a few seasons of struggle for Berlin. Honolulu proceeded to somewhat sell the farm to make sure that they got as many championships as they could in their window, and moved a lot of draft picks in the process with a plan to get a lot of good players from a 3-draft window and build into something spectacular. They seem to be decently on the way to that now, with a strong core and more players well on their way to being threats. And it paid off for them, as after the trade, they made the playoffs 4 seasons in a row until Zaylren retired, winning two Ultimus, losing one, and losing in the conference championship that final season. It truly turned the course of both teams into more reasonable directions. (329)
Task 32
My player is going to start a podcast that features relevant YouTube stars from all over the platform's vast demographic and talk about how those stars got to the point they are at today, what point they want to get to before they eventually retire, the state of the site as a whole, and all sorts of associated issues. From gaming videos to sports analysis to serious takes on the world at large here today, and besides that even comedy creators and those most popular channels with no specified focus like Mr Beast, it would be a blast to chat with each of them about their comeup, their best moments, their worst moments, their futures, and what they believe about the current setup of YouTube at large. It would also be fun to throw a few bits in there about how to separate personal lives from online personas and how different each of those things actually is. I know it's all been done before, but it's nice to get different perspectives at different times and perhaps to a different audience than it normally would go to. (186)
