7. The topic I want to write about for this offseason task is how epic the S36 draft class has been so far. As of the last S39 update, there are 9 players who have joined the 1K TPE club, there are 22 players between 900-999 TPE, and another 12 players between 500-899 TPE. Although I have not done the research, there is a decent chance this is one of the better draft classes in league history. I want to give those top 9 a special shout out to celebrate their accomplishments so far. The top 9 in order from highest to lowest: Harley Andrews, Quendyn Quarterstorm, Austin Morley, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Thomas Robinson, Sconnie McSix, Mandrews McHollywood, Teemo Swift, and Nathan Meagher. (Sorry Octavio Perez – just missed the cut at 999).
@abh89 – Harley Andrews, DE (1041). A Sarasota GM and recreate, there should be no surprise that Harley Andrews is leading the class in TPE. An immediate callup, Andrews has amassed 268 tackles and a whopping 34 sacks in their first 4 seasons (12 sacks each of the past two seasons!).
@Twenty6 – Quendyn Quarterstorm, S (CB as of S40) (1040). One measly TPE away from the class leader, 26 has managed QQ expertly as a first time user. The player has been instrumental to the success of the Butchers, recording 199 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 interceptions (1 to the house!) over their first 3 seasons, while the user has been an irreplaceable presence in the locker room.
@soevil – Austin Morley, WR (1028). Another first generation user who has definitely had some growing pains within the league. Over 3 seasons, Morley has caught 226 footballs for 3038 yards and 19 touchdowns (22 drops!)with a career receiving average of 13.6 yards per catch. As a Return Specialist, he has tacked on another 1214 kick return yards and 706 punt return yards (with a top 10 ISFL record in S38!). As a user, he was kicked out of being a DSFL GM and has since tried to prove he isn’t a total piece of shit.
@Mooty99 – Zaphod Beeblebrox, WR (1028). A recreate user who has done incredible things for the league. With one HoF career already under their belt, expectations are high for Beeblebrox. Another immediate callup, Zaphod has nearly 5k yards in 4 seasons (4975), 420blazeit receptions, and 24 touchdowns (33 drops!).
@infern8 – Thomas Robinson, WR (1020). Another first generation user, another wide receiver on this list. Tomrob (as I refer to the him in my head) has done a great job of establishing themselves as a huge member of the ISFL community. Although a rough rookie season has caused the players stats to look low, they’ve posted back to back 1000+ yard seasons and 22 total touchdowns.
@g2019 – Sconnie McSix, WR (1017). In the words of DJ Khaled, “anotha one”. WRs are HOT in this list. Although McSix started as a RB, they were an immediate callup and position swap. Over 4 seasons, McSix has 3840 receiving yards on 312 receptions and 34 (!) touchdowns. They also posted respectable return numbers in S39.
@Rusfan - Mandrews McHollywood, WR (1017). Anotha anotha one! A great veteran user who finishes the list of 1k+ S36 WRs. As a player, McHollywood has 230 receptions for 2904 yards and 24 touchdowns in 3 seasons.
@Repgnar – Teemo Swift, LB (1010). A great 1st generation user who I don’t see much these days, but their player has been pretty productive on the field. Totaling 325 tackles and 19 sacks over three seasons, Swift has proved his versatility by even having 12 PDs last season.
@Nathan – Nathan Meagher, DT (1006). Rounding out the last of the S36 1kTPE club is Nathan Meagher. Another 1st generation user who has (imo) made a good name for themselves providing great media since they’ve entered the league. An immediate callup, over 4 seasons Meagher has 187 tackles (pretty stellar for a DT I think!) and 9 sacks.
Sorry if none of you wanted pinged, but congrats on your achievements so far! I hope you all finish out with HoF careers.
