A dominant performance by Ryan Lawrence for KCC in Week 4 resulted in a strip sack of NOR QB Rocky Franklin III. Coming off the edge, Lawrence breezed pass his assignment, swatting down the arms of the offensive lineman. Coming up on the blindside, Lawrence quickly tackled the QB and brought him to the ground, forcing the ball free in the process. The ball tumbled back, with a mad rush for possession ensuing. However, it was rookie DE Lukas Van Ness recovering the football, resulting in a turnover of possession. This play came 1 after KCC fumbled the ball themselves, ensuring that Norfolk didn't take advantage of their opportunity. The play was in addition to another 3 tackles made by Lawrence during the course of the game, as well as another strip sack. However, this one didn't result in a turnover, with the QB scrambling and recovering the football before a KCC could pounce on it
