Donte Darius was a very successful high school football player and sprinter, which made him so highly sought after coming out of high school and college. There’s one game that stands out to Donte, and it took place during his Junior year of high school. Donte was playing both linebacker and running back during the season, as he was that talented on both sides of the ball. He recorded 2 sacks and an interception on defense, before running in 84 yards and 2 touchdowns! There is a picture that hangs in the Darius family household of Donte running the ball in for a touchdown. Darius also has photos of himself in college, and during his rookie season. Darius had a record breaking season at LSU before heading into the NFL draft, collecting 8 sacks and 4 interceptions over the course of the year. A picture of Darius returning an interception in the Rose Bowl that year is on the walls of Darius’s home, as a reminder of his elite talent.
