When asked about what McAlister had done in the offseason, the people close to him knew that the answer was the same for every offseason, that the grind never stops for McAlister. He took this offseason in his peak condition before the magical football gods took away some of his ability to make sure the Otters defense was more stout than ever before. He took all of the rookies and players drafted in the last few seasons and took them through a tough training regimen to help take the league by surprise in the season. During these improv offseason workouts, Ace grew more connected with the young core of the team, and this chemistry that he felt was lacking with the old core would lead to the Otters making a surprise push for the playoffs. While most players would want to spend their offseason relaxing after a tough year, Ace and the Otters used it to be more prepared for the season, and that seems to be showing off so far.
