After wrapping up his football season, Aaron Jäger decided to took a trip to Southern California, where he took some surfing lessons. Having gone to school in Fresno, he had been surfing as much as he could, but with school, football, and going home to Mass in the Summer, there wasn't a lot of time for it. This offseason was the most he had been able to get on a board, and he took full advantage of that. There were several days that he was there from dawn 'till dusk, not even leaving the beach when he ate. He felt a similar rush when riding a giant wave as when running down field with the ball. Unfortunately, with all the beatings he took wiping out, it wasn't as restful of an offseason as his coaches had hoped for him, but it was the mental reset Jager needed after focusing solely on football for so long.
