Being from El Paso on the border, Jake Jefferson jumped at the chance to promote football south of the border in Mexico. Having grown up there, Jefferson can speak Spanish fairly well and was thus the perfect representative for the Chicago Butchers in their international football camp. Since it's the offseason, they can't just play a game in Mexico City or somewhere, so Jefferson has travelled down south with a couple teammates and opponents from the Austin Copperheads to try and introduce the sport to a Latin American population and get new eyeballs watching the game. He opted to put together something of a "Quarterback Camp" for kids to get to know the position. This also helps because playing catch is something that can be done with any age group and skill combination, so it's a really easy way for young people to be introduced to football. They might not all end up being Chicago fans, but introducing the game of football to a new community of potential fans and players is always worth it.
