Prompt Wrote:The first IRL week of S45 is underway, what is your kneejerk take or reaction and why is it the way it is?
With 6 games down and Austin tied for first in the conference (though behind on tiebreaker), the natural kneejerk reaction at this point is to say that everything that isn't going perfectly according to plan is the fault of our new GM PugWalrus. Clearly, despite having only been the GM for these last couple weeks, any structural issues with the team, all sim strategy issues, any weird decisions on strategy, and really anything relating to our not being 6-0 right now are clearly Pug's fault. The only recourse, according to kneejerk logic, is to fire Pug immediately. Unfortunately, our locker room meme efforts are insufficient to make this happen, so I guess I'll have to just live with it or whatever.
In a world where we can't get rid of the new GM who is the source of all of our issues, I guess the Copperheads are doing about as well as we can. Sitting at 4-2, we have one loss to the in-conference team with the same record, though we did lose with them at our stadium which doesn't bode well for our week 12 away game vs. them. Both of our losses have been 1-score differentials, so we aren't getting blown out or anything. Given that we have a rookie QB and an aging defense (sorry!), I'll consider that doing well. We can only do what we can to keep our training efforts up and be the best team we can be going forward despite our leadership and try to win all the 10 remaining games and finally have home field advantage in the playoffs.
