Something I love about the ISFL and all other sim leagues is simply that they exist. A to me completely different game and community experience that I can't get from other, fully digital "be a pro" games. The kind of setup we have allows anyone to be at worst semi useful to their team, and create a player exactly how they want. Well, maybe not exactly how they want. Because metas still exist. But to an extent there's a lot of freedom. Plus, for my player to be good I don't personally have to spend hundreds of hours mastering any kind of controls and mechanics. I submit PTs like this one and then the sim engine takes care of making decisions as my player. Decisions which get better and smarter the more effort I put in. So while I've probably spent dozens of hours on these tasks and to make money. It's nothing compared to the effort I'd have to put in for other games.
