Thanks to his celestial name, Jamie Orion probably stays “on-brand” with his advertising campaigns. As a genuine nerd he probably booked a guest appearance on Star Talk and acted giddy meeting Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I imagine he appeared as himself in some educational PSAs and has made a big deal about the upcoming solar eclipse, where his hometown will experience totality. Maybe he’s even filmed a trip to NASA to experience their public-facing space experience.
But the obvious commercial venture is with Orion Telescopes & Binoculars – I mean, it’s right there in the name! Probably a series of ads of him locating various constellations, explaining the stellar origins of things like the Horsehead Nebula, and generally advocating for STEM funding in schools.
I doubt these generate a huge amount of ad revenue, but hopefully for Jamie between these various appearances and his professional salary, he can save up enough money to buy himself a ticket on a real space flight. Maybe that will be his retirement present to himself.
