Emile has an eye on watches, specifically mechanical watches. There's something about all the tiny intricate parts in a mechanical movement which for whatever reason piques his interest. Suppose it could be the combination of moving pieces which work together to measure a passage of time without a battery. So when Seiko came knocking on the door, Emile jumped at the opportunity to partner up with Seiko in exchange for cash and a selection of mechanical watches. Doing media and endorsements are typically things that Emile shies away from, but to get his on what is now in 2061, a vintage SARB033, was just too much to pass up on. While the SARB033 isn't a Grand Seiko or what you'd typically call high end, it was at the time a quality watch that for its retail price offered very good value proposition and punched above its weight. The money will be saved an no doubt useful when retirement beckons, and the watches add to Emile's small collection. In exchange, Emile is contractually obligated to only wear Seiko's if wearing a watch and has been in photoshoots for print and digital marketing materials.
