As the whistle blows and another ISFL season begins, another fantasy football season comes with it. Last season, one of the biggest surprises was rookie Willie Swaggert, RB for the Berlin Fire Salamanders. This season, the Swaggert doubters are out in full force. Many are worried that with more weapons on offense, Swaggert won't see the touches he did to propel him to his absurd statline in season 47. Even his own GM has made comments suggesting those that used an early pick on Swaggert will be disappointed.
But I don't care what the haters have to say! Swaggert is primed to finish as a top 5 RB again and carry all of the believers to another fantasy group win. He will build on his performance from last year in the passing game and grow more as a runner, making the Fire Salamanders more two dimensional. Sometimes you just have to sit back and appreciate greatness, and that's what I plan on doing. Feel free to doubt him, but it's only going to end in disappointment. As for us? We're gonna have a lot of fun.
