After a hopefully lengthy career in the NSFL, Cameron Taylor plans to retire from sports and further his education. Prior to his sports career, Taylor's passion was academics. Pursuing an education also resulted in a large accumulation of debt and Taylor saw his athletic ability as an avenue to help pay for tuition. After 4 years at the University of Michigan, Taylor's passion for school is still apparent, but the opportunity to play in the NSFL was once in a lifetime. Once retired and money is no longer an issue, Taylor will return to the Great White North of Canada to finish his studies in medical microbiology. After microbiology, the world of academia is an open book. Taylor plans to be a forever student at University and take whatever classes seem interesting and accumulate degree after degree throughout the rest of his life.
Being on the move for so long as an athlete never really provided Taylor a chance to start thinking about starting a family. Post-retirement Taylor will enjoy time spent learning, raising his children, and possibly dabbling in some little league coaching. Also being back in Canada for the foreseeable future in retirement, Taylor will start a movement to get a new DSFL team up north and he hopes to be part of the owner group that does it. (225)
