Dalinar Summers brings a level of aggression to running the ball that would definitely help on the defensive side. Summers runs with power, using his brute strength to bull rush through defenders while keeping his feet chopping. I think if Dalinar moved to the other side of the ball, he would be an excellent defensive edge. Using his strength and speed to get around offensive lineman and rush towards the QB, Summers could be a great dual threat. His level of aggression that he runs the ball with works perfectly when translated to the other side. Instead of getting that ball to the zone by any means necessary, he would instead be putting opposing QBs into the ground by any means necessary. I believe hands are a big part of playing on the defensive line, being able to shed blocks and such - and while Summers doesn't have the best hands, he still manages to catch a few balls every season he plays, so he still would get a great use of them on defense. All in all, I think Dalinar Summers would make a scary dual threat for any opponent.
