It’s been a disappointing season so far for the Kaiju. Such a start could put strain on the locker room, or it could galvanize them toward a more successful finish. Jimmies is right that much of the talk centers around him for good or for ill. It has really just been a few untimely turnovers that separate Osaka from a record they could really feel proud of (ignoring that one blowout at home against Honolulu).
But Juan maintains a more zen perspective. His rehab at the rock garden between his first and second season really left a mark on him. And he knows everything is interconnected. If he continues to focus on what he can control and giving it his all he believes the season still can be a success. Many others in the locker room also are hopeful for better days, and there is a slight fear of the window closing that Juan is yet to experience.
In his DSFL days Rascal has felt the opposite as well. A near perfect start that soured to a ho-hum conclusion. Perhaps this troubled start is exactly what the Kaiju need to get the team pulling in the same direction for a memorable playoff run.
