While reflecting on Dante King's illustrious career as a football player, one would be remiss to only look back at his games as a professional and miss out on the legendary performances he has to his name from his time in the amateur ranks. While there are a number of great games to highlight throughout his storied high school and college career, the absolute apex has to be his showing in the 2042 Pac-12 championship game where he led the #5 Stanford Cardinal up against the #2 USC Trojans in a game that ultimately sent the Cardinal to the College Football Playoffs. Facing a prolific Trojan defense that had allowed just two 100-yard rushers on the season, King put his dual-threat dominance on display and was virtually untouchable en route to a season high 278 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground on 28 carries, including two scoring runs of fifty-plus yards, as well as 57 yards and a score through the air on four catches, leading Stanford to a 45-31 victory.
