The Chicago butchers probably expected to win more than 8 games this season but they’re still in the playoffs, so you won’t hear any complaining. They’ve already beaten Colorado this season but playing them at home is going to be tough. I think the window is very much open for Chicago, but this is going to be another shallow run. Even if they get through Colorado, the Sailfish have been tough for them this season. Frost does not suck at team building. If Mario Von Pebbles wasn’t taken in the expansion draft, I think Chicago would have been terrifying off the line. They’re still solid on defense, but that was a big loss for them. I think another good draft and call-ups, and perhaps free agency puts Chicago over the top right as Colorado’s window closes. Overall, I’m happy and the teammates I’ve talked to are feeling really good about where the team is. I think Chicago gets an Ultimus before most of the S22 class retires. Just getting that championship banner hung up in Chicago would be an incredible feat considering the state of the team before Muford and Bayley took over. This is definitely a premier destination for new players looking to compete right away and veterans to chase rings.
So here is the outlook for Wash and the playoffs, bad. Wash has been given a 0% chance of making the playoffs by Wash. This is almost entirely due to the fact that Wash is not on a team right now. So this PT has set me up in a really bad spot, because there is nothing playoff related I can really talk about. To be honest, I don't know the ISFL that well, so I don't know what teams are in the playoffs or not. So, I am going to tell you a story about what Wash will do in the playoffs. In the first playoffs Wash is in, he will make every single kick. There will not be a single kick that Wash misses, because in general, Wash does not miss. Maybe every now and then Wash will miss a kick just to see what it feels like, but not in the playoffs because Wash is simply too good. The kickoffs will just become field goals, over and over Wash's team just keeps getting three points. Eventually it gets to the point where the other team just doesn't show up, and neither does Wash's teammates, because there is no point, Wash is going to single handedly win his team the game anyways, and there is nothing the other team can do about it.
This year the playoffs are interesting. So far I have had a good season for a backup running back, but despite my and Kitchens going off in the running game, our team is on the outside looking in on the postseason. We have to win more games than MInnesota and Portland, as they own the tiebreakers over us and it would require a miracle for these things to happen, but if all the christian movies have taught me anything miracles happen, so let’s see what could happen.
If We advance and play London, I think we would have a rough matchup. The Royals have one of the best rush defenses in the league and our offense is mostly rushing with the 2017 Georgia style offense of me and Kitchens. They are 2nd in the league in rushing yard defense at 141 yards but 6th in the league in passing defense at 160 yards per game. Now this definitely impacts us, as me and Kitchens who are 4th in the league in total rushing yards will definitely be hit by that total, making it hard for our offense to score. Our passing offense, while not great, is not completely down. We are 6th in passing in the league which is equal with the Royals and could equal a change in how we operate our offense.

Coming into the season, the Austin Copperheads, two seasons removed from a thrilling loss to Orange County in the AFC Conference Championship game, hoped to prove last season's last place finish an aberration. In the now hyper-competitive AFC, even the most minor detail is magnified to the fullest extent and old teams get old fast. Navigating a transitional phase is difficult, unless you're Orange County, and the Copperheads took the proverbial bull by the horns.
Since that playoff loss to Orange County, Austin has seen their RB1, WR1, FS, SS retire. Their WR2 as transitioned to TE1, replacing their elder and regressed traditional TE. They also entered this season with their long standing CB1(and return ace) and QB1 deep in regression. Both players likely have one more season they can effectively squeeze out(especially if the regression matches the war room strategy this time, haha).
Austin has drafted well, traded well, and been active in free agency, effectively replacing all their holes with high-earning players and setting themselves up for a big run in the future. But, the gap in ages on offense showed as Watts did good for a rookie, but the lack of help in the backfield really put a burden on her early in the season. And the chain reaction was felt as Cole was asked to pull a miracle season that his body wasn't capable of anymore. Despite the troubles, Austin's defense did all they could to keep the team in the hunt as long as they could, ranking near the top of the team defensive categories. Even though star CB Lavelle Jr. has been a cornerstone of the teams for eons, his departure might spell a new era for the Copperheads defense where they are set up to run various defensive looks with all the young talent throughout the unit, including one of the best defensive lines and a scary CB duo.
To reach the playoffs consistently again, Austin simply needs to keep rebuilding their offense and make the foundation as solid as possible for the Jackie Daytona Jr. era. Austin needs a true backfield partner for Watts so she doesnt get fatigued every game and can keep the offense flowing along with some beef on the line --- both offensive-linemen and tight ends. With how young the Copperheads defense is, there really is nowhere to add any help, aside from getting some extra active bodies in the linebacker core. Be on the lookout for the Copperheads to perennially fight for a divisional title within the next two-three seasons.
So this season the Orange County Otters finished atop the ASFC after a stellar regular season. The team ended on a pretty odd note losing 5 of their final 6 games. It quickly became apparent that an Offensive Lineman was playing LB for the team by wearing a different jersey and sneaking into the defensive practices and warmups. The Offensive Lineman was none other than Grant Iridian who got caught following 3 games where he amassed some tackles. The player was subsequently suspended from team activities and may have played a major role in the Otters' late season collapse after winning a close game against one of the worst teams in the league and then dropping 2 shortly after. Overall the Otters plan on rectifying this mistake and having their best Linebackers on the field against their next opponents.
As for the team's goals moving forward? The ASFC regular season champ Otters look to make a championship run off the back of an incredible defense and a rookie QB. Tatsu has shown that he still has the ability to run the ball and the young wideouts Despacito Jr and Owen Holloway have proven to be exceptional targets behind longtime Otters Future Trunks and Jeffrey Phillips. The young core has shown that they can play big minutes and show up in big moments, but can they keep it up under the spotlight? Only time will tell.
We did it. We finally did it. The Arizona Outlaws are going to the playoffs!
On a personal level, it was a so-so year for Pete “Plop” Miller; he finished the year with 40 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks. However, he had some truly terrible games, including multiple one tackles performances.
But that is a distant second in terms of Miller’s priorities. At 9-7, the Outlaws are going to the playoffs for the first time in his career. The year started off rough with losses at New Orleans and San Jose. After a morale-boosting win against New York, Arizona dropped a crucial game at home against Orange County. Three straight wins in weeks 5, 6, and 7 got them back on track. A few more up and down weeks had the Outlaws looking at a playoff spot with 3 games to go.
Morale was low after a loss at Austin, and the Outlaws needed some help. After a nail biter win over New Orleans, Arizona beat down Honolulu in the final game of the season. They dominated in all facets of the game. Jay Cue threw for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hanyadi had 2 TDs on the ground and 1 through the air. 5Js added 4 extra points and 4 FGs. Likely DPotY Galf Wilf had 8 tackles, 1 sack, 2 PDs, and 1 INT. The entire team dominated.
And what did that get them? PLAYOFFS! And, no, we’re not kidding you.
Well it's been a tough season and certainly a different one for the Norfolk Seawolves. Going from back to back ultimini appearances and one win to a full on rebuild has been quite a learning process. Going into this year's postseason it was expected giving the likes of Ramza, Captain Rodgers, Dukburg Quackstack to name a few we're all called up. The squad was depleted giving only 3 players were left from the ultimini appearance (Xmus Flaxon Jaxon-Waxon, Sam Roes and Ananda Adyan) it was fully expected to be tough and all aim was to get back to where we once were. We did draft well last season and hope to build on that, hopefully our new Rookies keep on improving as well as they have as they have become a vital part of our squad. This prospect draft is going to be another serious one but I believe we can build the right pieces and be back in no time. The one advantage is no matter who we pick is going to improve as we have a number of spaces up for grabs. The 3 main priorities I believe we need are Linebacker, Cornerback and running back. We have a no doubt star running back but we do need a back up for rotation and they pieces on defense are a must. I believe this will set us up perfectly for the future.
I want to look at both of my teams for the playoff push. For the DSFL, the Myrtle Beach is looking like a real threat to win it all. At 10-3 we are tied for the best record in the league and have the tie breaker over London for home field advantage. We made some key additions through the waiver wire allowing us to sure up one of our main weaknesses in the defensive line. I see us winning this week at home against Tijuana and wrapping up home field regardless of the London result. I think our team will make the ultimini and be a favorite in the game. However, if it is London I do fear we may struggle to escape with the win. That is a very good team and beating them three times in one season will prove to be difficult.
In the ISFL my team is the Sabercats. Right now I think a lot has to go our way to bring home another ultimus. While the team did finish with a winning record, the negative point differential is a concern moving forward. I think the Cats will have to get lucky to win games. I think the key lies with Monty Jack. If he can keep his >60% completion rate, the team should be able to compete against anyone and may cause some surprises just like last season.
