The Honolulu Hahalua find themselves in a kinda precarious situation this year. As is tradition, the schedule shook out with a stretch of brutal road games to end the season. Honolulu currently sits at 7-6 heading into the last 3 road games. They play away to New Orleans who they’ve already hung 55 on this season, then go away to Orange County in what will be a very tough game, and finish their season in Arizona after already losing to the Outlaws at home this season. It’s a real gauntlet, especially considering the fact that Honolulu likely needs to win two of these games for a playoff birth.
Should they make the playoffs the Hahalua will pose a considerable challenge in the ASFC. They’ve proven they can win on the road, notching wins on the road against both Ultimus participants from last season. At various points in the season, Honolulu failed to capitalize on games that could’ve seen them take a commanding hold on the ASFC playoff spot. Losses at home against SJS and Baltimore showed that clearly. So their work is now cut out for them. Honolulu knows what’s required to get to the playoffs, and San Jose proved last year that sometimes just getting in is enough.
