Every season for every player is a fresh start. For rookie players, they dont have a choice. Traded players also have a new start in another city. Some players come off record breaking season looking to break new records or some players come into the season having a terrible season just looking to make progress. James had decent seasons the last few and is looking to make a break. His performance has been stifled by his inept quarterback Wolfie McDummy. Bishop would never admit to such though. Bishop had much better numbers and chemistry with Wolfie’s predecessor Mycycle McCormick. Bishop comes into this season to start building on that trust and timing that he has with Wolfie. I think Mycycle just knew what Bishop was going to do at all times. He already had Howard Miller for several years and the two play similarly. Wolfie on the other hand had to learn Bishop and how he moves and flows throughout the field. Bishop, McDummy, Laszlo, and King all spent this offseason learning and running together. They tried to find that perfect flow to allow McDummy to make the next step. I think this is the year that they finally take off together. If not, it could spell a long year for the Colorado Yeti.
Last season was a tough one for the Liberty. We finished the season near last place, and and for a group of players used to competing for Ultimuses, this was not easy to swallow, even if expectations were low going into the season. In order to try to forget what happened last year, the team took a number of measures. First, the group of players drafted in S18 would need to be integrated into the team, as almost all of them were called up from the DSFL. This involved a number of teambuilding outings. Several of the new players felt they did not fit in with the group of more established players like Emoji, D'Attoria, Lennox, and Varga, to name a few. In order to fix this problem, the 2nd year players went head to head with the older gang in a series of challenges designed to test their individual skills as well as how well they work together. This included complex games like Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, and culminated in a game of round robin checkers. The challenges were rumored to be a great hit, and everyone seems to have forgotten last season's disaster. The memory wipe of each player on the team could have also contributed to this, but there's not way to know for sure.
The offseason is often a time to recuperate from the punishment the regular season inflicts on a player, and even more so when their team goes on a deep run in the playoffs. And yet, the man known as RESPECT didn't spend a single second licking his wounds. Fresh off a humiliating defeat to rivals Yellowknife, Ahri spent every waking moment of his offseason trying to wash out of his mouth the bitter taste of disappointment. Jugs machines, route drills, hell, he even saw a shaman in Eastern Asia to work with him on his center and balance. Anything he could do to improve, since a loss in the NSFC Championships was simply not good enough. He changed his diet to incorporate more aminos acids and proteins into his daily meals, in the hopes it would make him more explosive and harder to tackle. He spent an entire month breathing with a plugged nostril, to increase intake efficiency, and then the next month with the other nostril plugged. He ran through the homeless part of Pittsburgh, holding nothing but a greasy cheeseburger and a sack of change totaling $200 in order to increase his hand strength and ball security. For AE, the offseason was not a time to recover and reflect on the past, but a time to become more dominant for the successes of the future.
My teammates and I spent the season trying to convince Free agents to join the hawks to help our team become even better. To summarize our efforts the only free agent that signed with us was Spencer Castle. I wish someone would explain to us what their perception of Baltimore is, because this team has now gone multiple seasons without signing an active free agent, and yet we continue to make an appearance in the national simulation football conference championship. Why because we are good. And we only got better. Our safety Terim was the first player of his generation to receive a 1000 total point experience grade on the EA sports NSFL game. Not to mention our star QB, RB, LBs, Dlinemen all got better as well. My teammates and I are excited and proud to be hawks and can’t believe people predicted Colorado finish the season above us in the standings. We sharpen each other as iron sharpens iron. We had huge team party welcoming our rookie draftee Stevie Vassallo to the team, along with our call ups Asher and Sauce. We are also working to make the Hawks the most active team in the league as we just create our own team twitter that people can subscribe to. We’re also working on a new branding for the team. Something catchy like #HawksAreWatching
Offseason is often one of the worst times of the year but can have it's upsides at some points. This offseason was a big one for the Sabercats and Brackenridge as they brought in a few high profile S17 draftees, which Brackenridge is elated about. Action, Ennis, and Brackenridge have all been putting in the work this offseason and getting up to speed with the new playbooks and putting in the work at the gym as well. Although the offense may not be exactly where they want it to be they are currently building the foundational blocks to get it to be great. Losing a snake such as Toriki after their first season hurts but everyone on the Sabercats will bounce back and fill that spot. Some of the best team bonding experiences for the team over the offseason would include the Big 3 of San Jose all going down to the Bahamas as a way to unwind and mentally + physically prepare for the upcoming onslaught of next season. Lastly, the effect that a season GM such as CK and Rradum have on a locker room definitely provides a sense of stability amidst the turbulence of the last few seasons, which should lead well into the next season and beyond

I mean how fresh of a fresh start can you really get that the creation of Hal Fassingit? I went DE because I do not have the time to invest like I used to with Smallwood or how I wanted to with Anoa’I but then work and life got in the way. Man, I’m still behind on the hall of fame jerseys, maybe I will have tmie today but I don’t know. Maybe I should ask Dwyer for pay. Wait I can submit them in GFX so that’s fun. But they’re in a set, yeah I’m going to ask @ADwyer87 for pay because I do not have the time to do power rankings like I did when I was younger and the wife and I had one car between us so she would have early mornings on Tuesday and Thursday and I would be in the office with nothing to do. But this is a fresh start, and it is why I went DE because I can miss things and still max out and be as good as they get, which is what my plan is with Hal. I cannot remember to do weekly predicitions on Tuesdays and Thursdays the stuff slips right by me, have them all available at the start of the week please.
