BIG BUBBA HOG
Written Option: Everyone’s got hope for the upcoming season. Describe how your team is situated and how your teammates will be contributing this season. Are you hoping for playoff success, or simply to improve from the previous year? Are any of your teammates poised for breakout seasons or awards recognition?
Well let's start off with the fact San Jose is coming off of a season that should of had a playoff birth but we just missed. We lost Jackson this off-season, Ennis retired. So we had some holes to fill in the draft. Insert Mr. Ty hood, who I think will grow into a hell of a replacement for jackson, and that's no small feat. I feel as WR2 this year he should make a impact specially not having to draw CB1 from other teams. Monty Jack was called up, and even though he's a rookie and possibly could struggle a bit for this season I believe overall he will be successful in leading the team from the qb position. As a great one two punch in our backfield I expect lackson and cardrissian to both contribute, lackson is poised to show people he should of been gone way before round 7. On the defensive side we have called up Chestnut (gm pick), myself, and lanier. I expect all three of us to really help contribute to this defense. As it matures into one of the best, speaking of the Defense I expect nothing more than stellar seasons from. Bass, hehateme, grinder and everyone else. Hopefully this awards season y'all will see why HeHateMe deserves a trophy. Like mentioned we just were on the oustide of the playoffs last year. With our rookies and our veterans I believe we have a shot at the playoffs and who doesn't expect that. I'm a realist I know we're young but we're talented and hell sim gonna sim sometimes so we shall see. But I wouldn't be shocked if we make it. Breakout teammates and awards, definitely time to not snubbed mr. Pickwick, not only as our CB1 anchor in the Defensive backfield, he's undeniably one of the best returners too. Pay attention. Lackson could see a great year as well and wouldn't shock me to see him in the conversation for some rookie awards. We might represent a few this year who knows. The Liberty are primed for a playoff spot. It's gonna happen. The Hawks are rebuilding, the Butchers are rebuilding, the Sailfish are...floundering? I dunno. I suppose mediocre. Are the Wraiths in decline? They struggled against the Hawks today. The Yeti are still strong, but even if Yellowknife and Colorado look good, Philly should still be able to at least snatch a 3 seed. And then who knows. We nearly beat the Yeti on the road today, if we go against them again in a wildcard match, I could see us pulling off the upset. Our young QB, Brock Phoenix, is beginning to blossom. He's just about hitting his prime. Our defense has been surprisingly strong for how young they are. Particularly our secondary. We still have Wayne Howyanow, and as long as we have that guy, our defense will be dangerous. We've got 2 more rookies starting this season on our defense who I expect to kick ass right away. Tucker Om and Eugene Smoothie. Our 1st and 2nd round picks respectively. One thing I really love about this season is that it is 16 games. Now we can compare a bit easier to the NFL, and honestly I think were a 10-6 squad. I think it's our time to finally have a winning record. I think Sammy T and Fuzzy are gonna be a fierce 1-2 punch and they will surpass 2000 yards combined. Best 1-2 this side of Gump/Toriki anyway. I think Avon is gonna quietly have another pro bowl year. Flash Panda is kind of our wildcard and I could see him having some big plays when we need big plays the most. Defensively I think Richard D the Fifth will have a surprisingly strong season to close out his career. I think we're gonna end up leading the league in interceptions. And of course you can't forget Mr. Simon Tremblay messing opposing lineman up at the LT position. Things are looking promising indeed.
After an awesome second year in the DSFL as a member of the Tijuana Luchadores and capping it off with an Ultimini Victory as well as nominations for Kicker and Punter of the year. It does not get much better than that! But it is time to move up in the world and back to the bottom of the totem pole, at least I am the starting kicker! After a playoff wild card birth in the inaugural season for my Sarasota Sailfish, I'm very very excited to only go up from there, and I really believe we have a good group of folks to help us reach the top of the mountain which could be closer than a few short seasons away if we work hard!
While I'll miss my Lucha brothers the great group of Sailfish I will be teamed up with this season will be a big reason for our success. With players like the electric running back Dax Frost and my Lucha friend Running Back in the backfield the run game will be massive! Our 2x Ultimus winning QB Dexter Banks II will be throwing bombs to players like Witheblock, Angler, and Gordon it will be a rocking offense this season! Our defense and special teams will be something that you'll need to watch out for as well because they will turn you into #FishFood. The Sailfish are gonna #SetSail and take over the NSFL! "FINALLY - @The_Kidd HAS! COME! BACK! to London!", is what the millions(and MILLIONS!!) of fans will be screaming far and near, there and here, without fear when the London Royals touch down(get it, touchdown) throughout the DSFL in season 23. Last season, the people's team had to deal with jabroni's dissing the Royals, looking down on the Royals, not respecting the Royals. And the people's team had to show those roodie-poos just who they were dealing with -- clinching a playoff spot and sticking the people's foot up Minnesota's [butt] before suffering a suspicious defeat to those Tijuana Chalupas.
But alas, you cannot keep The People's Team down for long as every defeat only makes the London Royals stronger. Starting up top with The People's GM's --- Slyphreni and Highhaschdi --- who are unmatched in skill and personality. They are on a mission to leave jabroni's sprawled on the floor while running up the scores. Led by The People's QB, Colby Jack, will proceed to layeth the smack----down on any defense that thinks they can contain the returning leader in passer rating. The People's Team have loaded up to help Colby Jack --- with the additions of Tre'Darius J'Vathon and Gunner Thornbjornsson to the People's WR core with the returning Cash Jr. Called Cash because every throw their way is money in the bank. The People's QB will also have the People's Backfield - Jacoby Batista and Danny King, they call him King because he ensures other defenses know their role when he steps on the field -- returning in full ready to lay the smackdown on any roody-poos that dont know how to shut their mouths. But you know, The People's Offense isnt complete without the People's O-line. Frank Michell and Nic "Mac" Elephant will serve as the people's Royal Guard for the first time in Royals history. They call him Elephant cause the People's Strudel resembles an elephant trunk. The People's defense had one mission --- to dare any jabroni offenses out there to stroll down Know Your Role Boulevard, Check into the Smackdown Hotel, and get The People's [Butt] Kicking. The People's Secondary, the highest TPE ranked secondary in the league, returns all members. The People's Secondary led the league in interceptions last year so opposing QB's should know their role and shut their mouths when they get picked off play after play. The People's Defense will be adding 3 active lineman and 3 active linebackers to stick the Royal Cleats up the candy [booties] of the opponents. As for Datsum Phastbawls, The People's Kicker, he's got the longest, largest, biggest, thickest, cleanest, meanest pe--punting and kicking ability in the league. The People's Team is the deepest, steepest, roughest, toughest, pie-eating, jabroni-beating, eyebrow-raising, trail-blazing, wheeling, dealing, girl-stealing, never-resting, sim-perfecting, have other opponents second-guessing, baddest sons of guns in the DSFL. And for all those that think they have a chance, that think they got shafted last year, that think they can make a run like us last year --- The People's Team has one thing to say to that --- IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!!!
It is another new season for the Norfolk Seawolves, and, after another heartbreaking loss in the first round of the S22 playoffs, the Seawolves are gearing up for an exciting S23.
Unfortunately, the Norfolk’s season starts with some sad adieu’s. DSFL season-best nominated GM’s Juniped and Scorpxcracker retired after S22, and several of the team’s greatest players have been pulled up to the NSFL. Multi-nominated players Bumper (DB), Jack Banks (LB), and Karpaasi (DL) all left the Norfolk locker room at the end of the season, and while everyone in Norfolk wishes them well, it does leave the team in a bit of a lurch. Luckily, the famed Matt Cross and Blasoon are taking the helm of the Seawolves, and this player is excited for the new ideas and excitement these two GM’s will bring to the game. Although some of the O-line and defense positions may be occupied by bots, the Seawolves are not lacking in established players. Safety (Blanco), wide receiver (Matthews), running back (Quanter Skrills), linebacker (de Pengu), tight end (Haugland), and TWO, count ‘em, TWO quarterbacks have maxed out for the season, and hard-working rookies have brought their stats up to help support their team. This quarterback would like to give a special shout out to the S24 rookies who worked hard to go over their 100 TPE mark: Guava-Fresca (K/P), Captain Rogers (awesome name, RB), Button (S), and Sternestaub (DT) have all proven their dedication to the team. With a solid group of players, the Seawolves are going to be a force to be reckoned with, and they hope to move farther into the playoffs this season (dare we hope for the Ultimini?). (278 words) |
