We have your typical merch sales in jerseys, hats, tshirts, and typical memorabilia such as cups and mugs and sunglasses. But the front office approached me specifically and wanted a brand new item that would market the fact they had a leek playing for them. I cam up with a little statue of our mascot, the Birddog, with a removable leek in its mouth. What is really cool about this is there is a button on the back of the dog's neck, which launches the leek using a retractable spring and the dog with actually go and fetch me! I got it out to the merchandising team and they were thrilled. News is they already sold out of the first batch, so they want me to think of some more ideas. I'm thinking leek and dip next. You would get your own little shrink-wrapped stalks of leek with like one or two dipping sauces specially created by yours truly.
