Gucci Gurley is all about being fit. A true gym rat if I've ever known one. This off-season, he spent hours upon hours in a local Tijuana gym. However, what good is the gym without gym buddies? Gucci Gurley trained with legends of multiple sports : 1X WSBL champion Walmart Curry and recently retired ISFL champion CMC's Burner. Those two individuals bring out the best in Gucci Gurley and drive him to be his best. He also enjoys running along the beautiful beaches in the area. For one, it's a nice change of pace but also great cardio and an escape from every day life. While at the beach, he likes to go for a swim. Swimming is truly a great full body workout, and keeps the future star running back ready for this upcoming DSFL season. As far as off-season diet goes, Gucci Gurley normally continues to eat those delicious fruits and veggies. However, he is known to have a sweet tooth!

Austin Morley has to work extra hard to maintain his physical fitness at all times of the year due to his horrible, no good, very bad diet. Austin wants to eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day and does his best to accomplish that. Despite his wife’s best attempts to get him to eat “bullshit” like chicken, various pasta dishes, and dreaded VEGETABLES. Because of this diet, morley runs wind sprints every night with resistance chutes on. On digiorno nights - cooked with the Pizza Pizzazz (the best kitchen appliance of all time) - he has to work extra hard by including 100 pushups, sit ups, and jumping jacks to his sprinting. That’s standard conditioning for Austin Morley, though. Since joining the Chicago Butchers, he has begun to take conditioning even more seriously in the offseason. The week before the current season began, Morley hosted a trip and invited other ISFL athletes out to a conditioning week in Death Valley, California. Temperatures topped 100 degrees every day in the blazing sun, and everyone involved improved their cardio significantly.

Known Acquaintance is a dog mate. He's an Australian Shepherd from Australia. The off-season is the best time for him since it's all fun and games there instead of games and fun. (It's the order that counts). Generally in the off-season Known Acquaintance is known (hehe) to fly back to Australia and play on the farm with his family. Every year his new brothers and sisters are arriving and can be played with. To keep in shape he plays a lot of fetch and goes for long walks. Sometimes he even finds a stick and runs around with it for hours. It's generally a very balanced training. When there is no fetch to be played or no sticks to be found, Acquaintance is generally acquainted (hehe) with chilling in the offseason too. As a kicking dog it's not that important to be perfect body wise. He automatically runs faster than anyone else on the field anyways. So sometimes it's just all about lying on the porch and barking at animals walking by.

This offseason Akaki Akayre isn't working out much. Instead he plans to travel a lot. He plans a trip all over the world for several months. Starting from his new home in Arizona he will go south, first to Mexico, than Guatemala, then Brazil. Of course he will try to train a bit during this trip, and maintain a healthy diet, but it wouldn't be close to his usual training regime. From Brazil he goes east, to Africa. Akayre plans to cross it from Senegal to Kenya and Zanzibar, visiting national parks, and seeing all the beautiful wildlife. His next point is India, and then Nepal. He plans to try himself in high altitude alpinism there. maybe it will help Akaki to become more enduring and stronger. Then will come time for some relaxed beach tourism. For that he will get to some of small Pacific islands, like Fiji. Akayre plans to stay there for the rest of his vacation, cause he needs some rest from champion season.

In the offseason, Newman has to make sure he’s in the perfect shape to get ready for the new season. He does this by going on runs every morning while it’s not too hot (since Austin gets quite steamy in the summer) and he lifts weights every afternoon to keep his muscles nice and firm. He makes sure to keep track of his diet, not eating too much fats and oils but still giving himself chances to splurge on desserts and fast food (since a star running back has to enjoy himself sometimes). He talks with his coaches and teammates not worrying too much about the next season’s gameplans but just chatting about football since they enjoy doing so so much and to keep their minds active. He goes on hikes in the Hill Country and enjoys all that Austin and the surrounding area has to offer, like the bat caves and the myriad rivers that flow through the heart of Texas. Finally, he practices new drills and formations just so he’s not caught off-guard when practices start up again in the new season.

Since this past offseason was the ISFL draft, all my players works outs were tuned to doing the best at the combine and individual workouts with teams in my head cannon. That would be doing stuff specifically for 40 time, agility drills and the lifting exercises. He happened to have the best 40 time out of all the draftees so something worked out for him. As far as football goes he is going back to Norfolk so he is already well acquainted with the playbook and poised to put up some big numbers. Teenie took some extra time after the draft just to recharge and get ready to help lead norfolk to a championship. A long vacation on the beach and some well deserved time off before hitting the grind again. I think that will be a new tradition of his if all goes well in his career. Spending some time learning some other positions too, just in case I need to be flexible when I get called up.
