The Minnesota Grey Ducks implement differing degrees of punishment's for different mental mistakes during games. Every penalty during the game equals wind sprints and if it's a bigger yardage flag that increases the length of wind sprints. It is not just one person either, it's a team effort and it is a way to hold each other accountable every week throughout the season. There are ways to offset this - forcing turnovers, pancakes, touchdowns, and sacks. All of these can negate those punishments to a certain degree if a well-played game happens. Going back to the punishments though, on top of flags any turnovers by the offense and points allowed by the defense and special teams can add wind sprints. This is a way to make sure the team isn't getting out of any poor play and mistakes that they need to be held accountable for. If the team gets shutout or if the defense gives up 40 or more points, then management starts fining players small amounts.
