Joey Battle has been a big versatile linebacker during his career. What that means is he has a nice blend of rushing instigks, tackling instincts and the ability to be near the ball in pass plays to deflect passes. He had the rate speed, strength and endurance you love to see in such a key defensive position.

So his dual skill to be a threat would have to he another position that offers the same type of versatility and usefulness and that is exactly what a tight end position is. It requries good block - both rush and pass - and good hands to catch passes. And in short yard situations they may line up on the line and play a full back position to either block or run for short yardage from the backfield.

Those are all skills that Battle thrives in and he can use all thosw physical attributes to play that versatile tight end position and adjuat with the weekly game plan.

Well this one is particularly hard for Marshall von Hildebrand because there really isn't an "opposite side of the ball" for him to play on given his position: he is a kicker. So, does that mean he could potentially be a three way player? I think that's the better way to look at for that kicker's aren't overlooked any more than they already are. So what the talents that a kicker like Marshall von Hildebrand could take and translate to the offense or defense? Once again, tough question considering kickers are nortorious for being undesized. On offense, I guess running backs can be undersized by being short, and they need to have strong legs, which kickers have. But a kicker would get absolutely folded in half with the beating running backs take. So I guess wide receiver it is. And on the defense, its the same. Can't be anyone in the box because they take too much of a beating. And even safeties are asked to play up and blitz more than would be comfortable for a kicker to do. so I gues the only thing left would be a safety. Thus, Marshall von Hildebrand would play wide receiver and safety as a three way player.

Currently as a starting corner in the ISFL, it seems pretty natural that my skills as a defensive back would translate well to being a wide receiver if I played both ways. I have all of the insider knowledge towards what press corners try to do to shutdown a wide receiver, so I would be adept at countering their go-to moves. Perhaps the main concern would be my hands, since I have not had to practice catching too much on defense. However, that's really the only weakness I think I would have as a receiver. I have the speed and agility to lose corners, and I have expert knowledge and insight on defensive schemes so when I'm not beating the defense with my pure speed/skills - I should be able to beat them with my brain. I'll know the weakspots of the secondary and be able to find those soft spots in the zone to be a reliable target for my QB.

Dunkler has played as both DE and DT, and is currently a nose tackle for the Cape Town Crash. Being a Nose Tackle style DT means you are the biggest, slowest, strongest player on your side of the ball. You aren’t going to have the speed to keep up with practically any skill player on offense. Your job is to beat whoever lines up next to you, take up space, and hopefully cause problems in the offensive backfield.

That doesn’t leave a ton of options for Dunkler to play on offense. Offensive lineman makes sense but is kind of boring. Dunkler would probably want to swap his skills up a bit since we would be terrible at blocking after having spent his entire career focusing on tackling. However maybe he could feature as an occasional fullback? Even if he isn’t being handed the ball, he could be a powerful wrecking ball to open up holes for a running back to follow through. And let’s be honest, I would not trust him to be smart enough to not fumble the ball.

Mannheim is a hard nosed football guy, a culture guy, a run through a wall for the team Linebacker in the middle of a ferocious defense. There is only one answer for what position he would play on offense, and that is as a traditional H back.

The physicality Mannheim brings to a football field would perfectly fit the mix of traditional Fullback and in line TE expected from a H back, using his athleticism and competitive spirit to dominate at the line of scrimmage, and make plays whenever asked to. 

Mannheim is already a matchup nightmare on the defensive side of the ball, as has been shown by his production early this season, but his leading all LBs in INTs shows ball skills that the league may not have been aware of. At the end of the day, Mannheim is a playmaker, just get him on the field and he will make a difference. (153 words(

As the NFL has proven, TEs are not good at playing Safety.  Most famously, Rob Gronkowski gave up a touchdown to the Dolphins by being too slow and not being agile enough to make the angle to make the tackle to save the game.  While Bob Kronkowski is much more agile and fast enough to catch most players in the league, it is probably not wise to have him play safety, which is supposed to be the last line of defense.  Other questions arise.  Should he play linebacker?  Defensive line?  while those positions are tempting, his average strength and lack of technique would cause Kronkowski to become a liability to a defense.  Therefore, the best position would be cornerback (or in some cases, coverage linebacker).  Kronkowski has a nose for the football, and a good knowledge of route trees.  He is a menace at jump balls, so would force every ball to be in front of him, where the rest of the defense can cover his lack of tackling ability.

As a safety, we are often neglected on the defensive side of the ball, with LBs being more prefered for run defense (and sacks, and stats in total), and cornerbacks are prefered for their pass defense, as the spectacular guys who make big plays and lock down opposing wide recievers. I think it's time for a change, as the players on offense that are neglected (like the fullbacks and the offensive line), they don't really fit the strengths and weaknesses of our position, as a more nimble and agile player compared to the larger stronger big guys on the line blocking. Instead, I think it's time for us to have some of the glory. Our archetypes fits those of a recieving back perfectly, as versatile players that have good hands, able to run routes (to cover WRs if need be), and ability to be stronger than CBs, creating mismatches when lined out wide. On top of it, recieving backs have the perfect ability to play as both WR and RB, allowing us to dominate the positions of importance and actually have some fame.

Speed Hawk has been begging coaches for years to let him be a dual threat player and play on both sides of the ball. His skills as a versatile LB and his real nose for the ball mean he could play practically anywhere on the field, a true athlete. The nose for the ball could be fed best though by playing his other side as a bruising Running Back. His strength and tenacity would help him shed tackles from inferior LBs to himself. In addition, his pass protection would be excellent as he does love to just hit players and he knows that he could take anyone on the field in a block if he needed to help out his QB. The nose for the ball could also be a nose for the endzone as he just knows the place to be and the lanes to blitz in, which would translate to finding the holes for the big TD runs.

Being a Quarterback, there aren't a ton of positions that could be an easy swap for Rockmann, but if he had to pick one it would have to be Linebacker. Typically called the QB of the defense, Rockmann could easily make the swap from reading defenses to dissecting offenses, as he already knows most of the offensive plays that are run in the DSFL. After recording the highest wonderlic score of all time at the pre draft combine, Rockmann will be able to use this maxed out intelligence to direct the rest of the defense where to go, as he doesn't have any of the other physical traits to make tackles or make open field tackles. Rockmann would he like retirement year Ray LEwis, who would just sit in the middle of the field and give all the callouts and knowledge everyone else would need, and then maybe make a tackle if someone dared patrol into the middle of the field where the statue sat.
