You would think one would show more appreciation for the team taht decided to take a chance on you, but no. Anyways, moving on, let me answer your question.
I received offers, as I said in my answer to TVC's question. Philly and YKW were both willing to pay me for me to go to their team. The goal was always to resign with Arizona, as I had explicitly stated to some teammates before FA started. Goodbye.
I made my motives known and at the time I had no plans to leave, but as free agency went on Arizona seemed like they just didn't care as much as other teams about retaining me. I will always appreciate the Outlaws for drafting me, but I don't appreciate feeling like I had to sell myself on Arizona. I was losing enjoyment in the league after all the shit that happened with the draft, so free agency was a breath of fresh air, however, Arizona didn't do their best to keep me and so I figured it would be best to leave. Arizona wasn't even in the top 2 for teams, and if they can't retain players I don't see them really getting to their potential, especially with expansion looming. We both did what we felt was best for ourselves, no need for any animosity about the use of my option or your option.
As for the question, if your goal was to re-sign with Arizona, why go through the effort of employing the services of an agent when you could easily renegotiate a deal yourself? Why go through the effort of making a big deal about free agency to not even be one for a day?
