At the beginning of the season I thought my Wraiths would have a chance to get into the playoffs as the 2nd or 3rd seed. With two games remaining, if we’re not mathematically eliminated from a playoff berth we’re close to it. The team is young and these past two seasons has consisted of a lot of retooling the roster. The core that helped the Wraiths reach the Ultimus so many times in a row got old and moved on to life after football. This is the natural order of things. Looking at our roster I’m very optimistic for the future. The team is mostly S22 players or younger. A young team means you have a lot of room for improvement. I’m confident the Wraiths will be back in the playoffs next season, especially when you factor in the aging and retirement of other Quarterbacks in the NSFC. This season the Wraiths have been able to hang their hat on their passing attack. Jack became more polished of a passer this season and weapons like Sakura and Skyline have really stepped up. A big area where we need to improve is defending against the pass. We have young players in the secondary that will improve a lot in the offseason, our front seven has to generate more pressure on opposing QBs as well. (223 words)
