Hello everyone! We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming of DSFL Mock Drafts to bring you a total fictional draft instead. For any new people unfamiliar with this series, a group of league friends and I are creating 10 teams by re-drafting from the current pool of ISFL players, focusing on building as an expansion team might with an eye towards longevity and future success rather than win-now (or at least, most of us are…. *glares at Simo*)
While we haven’t been quite as good as staying on top of write-ups as we hoped, we’re still chugging along with these! Note that all position/TPE/etc. was taken from the tracker at the end of last season, so anything out of date is a consequence of that. After this or the next instance we’ll probably start cutting down the discussion for each pick to churn out a few more rounds per piece, hopefully so that we can finish without getting too out of date.

Round 8, Pick 1 - Krakow Knights
DEX KENNEDY, Linebacker (S22)
@Dagumpa - 979 TPE
Hordle: With pick 71, I went back to focusing on what really matters. MORE DEFENSE. Dex Kennedy is pick 71 and will be a great value for me team. Kennedy is the second LB that I’ve taken and will be very important in my aggressive strategy. Kenny is a speed rusher and has a decent amount of TPE built up. Being a year younger than Quaid. The two should have plenty of time to play together in my LB core. Much like Shields, Kennedy is a great value pick. The User is actually my GM in PBE for the minor league team that I’ll spend 100% of my career on most likely. If it weren’t for him, I would have forgotten that I was even drafted to the PBE. He’s a great guy and has been super helpful when I’ve had questions. So I expect nothing less with him coming to my locker room. Getting a potential LR leader this late is always a great thing and just goes to show the quality of players that the ISFL has.
Round 8, Pick 2 - Barbary Pirates
CLARK BOYD, Tight End (S22)
@Cheech65 - 933 TPE
Zeagle: Tight End is one of the most undervalued positions in the league, perhaps even THE most undervalued position. After ignoring my own advice and picking just about every other position first, it's a miracle that I was able to land Clark Boyd in the 8th round. He will be at nearly 1000 TPE by the start of next season, and from what I have heard, is a bit quiet but is an awesome locker room presence. He was drafted to Sarasota initially, before Berlin snatched him away in the expansion draft. I have talked to both Berlin and Sarasota players, who have unanimously agreed that he's an awesome guy; Sarasota wishes they still had him, and Berlin is glad they snagged him.
Clark being S22 means that he will peak a little earlier than our QB, Caliban, giving him a reliable target while he builds up his TPE. Clark being a balanced tight end will also be a great addition for my running game, as he will be able to block for Tatsu and whatever other running back I draft.
Round 8, Pick 3 - Bali Banteng
GALF WILF, Linebacker (S20)
@Moosecop - 1152 TPE
Rev: With our 73rd pick in the draft, the Bali Brontosauruses select a veteran defensive player who is sure to strike fear in the hearts of quarterbacks everywhere - Galf Wilf, linebacker from the Arizona Outlaws. Continuing with the “I'm pretty sure the running back I'm looking at will fall to my next pick” thought process, I decided to go for a second linebacker here, and I'm pretty happy with the one I got! Wilf is the fifth highest TPE player in the entire Season 20 draft class - he's the highest linebacker in the class and one of the few players from the class still on a team, which is surprising considering season 20 hasn't even hit regression yet (at the time of my writing.) Wilf was one of the highest TPE players in a position that I know I needed, so even though he's one of the oldest players I have selected, I feel great about picking him here. This entire writeup, nay the whole media, would be compromised if I didn't also take note of the fact that Moose Cop is an excellent username.
Round 8, Pick 4 - Pacific Ocean Gulls
BENSON BAYLEY JR., Offensive Line (S22)
@Bayley - 967 TPE
Joefish: FAIR RUUUUUUUUUUBSSSSS!!!! With the 74th pick of this ISFL redraft, I scoop up my second offensive player of the draft and my first offensive lineman, and it's a good one. Benson Bayley Jr. is an amazing offensive lineman, and, as a running back, that's a position that I feel is always underrated. Benson Bayley Jr. didn't exactly have the best season this past month or so, but there's still plenty of time to improve on that before the next one starts. User Bayley is one of the general managers of the Chicago Butchers. It's too bad we're doing a redraft, they were just starting to do well. But I get another awesome user and possible co-gm with this draft pick, and I'm really glad that I get Bayley. I guess I'm going to have to add a Taylor Swift channel to the POG locker room. No regrets though, it's a small price to pay for such a great player and user combination.
Round 8, Pick 5 - Munich Machtapparat
TEX WRECKS, Defensive End (S25)
@209tacos - 611 TPE
Pat: If you want to say that my roster is full of homer picks I don't think I could blame you, as almost my entire roster so far is made up of former Tijuana players. Well, I figured I might as well really lean in on the nepotism and go for a double homer pick and grab Tex Wrecks, who was not only my teammate in Tijuana for a season but is also one of the foundations of my defensive front seven in Philadelphia. Tex is one of the top earners from the vaunted Season 25 draft, and is the perfect DE to play across from my second pick, Troen Egghands. In grabbing Tex I'm not only getting a fantastic young player, but i'm also getting one of my favorite users, 209tacos, who is one of the best graphic artists this league has. If you want to thank anyone for the beautiful GM renders in Philadelphia (Lip Chap and Lip Stashe) then look no further than Mr. Tacos here, as they were his creations. Welcome aboard, Tacos!
Round 8, Pick 6 - Western Reds
GIVUSSAFARE RUBBE, Offensive Line (S18)
@caltroit_red_flames - 959 TPE
Simo: With the Western Reds back on the clock we have decided here to keep working towards building the leagues best OL and what better piece to do that with then Givussafare Rubbe! Lots of experience and has been a great offensive lineman in the league for a long time and he will be an absolutely massive piece to add to this line. Along with a great player for the Reds this pick also will give us Caltroit Red Flames which is an amazing addition to the locker room and will be a huge help inside the war room. What more could you want in a pick? Givussafare Rubbe has also been in an around the awards even winning the offensive lineman of the year award in season twenty four. They are a professional on and off the field and that is something we are definitely keen to bring into the Reds.
Round 8, Pick 7 - Fargo Woodchippers
JAMES LEWANDOWSKI, Tight End (S21)
@3lewsers - 1001 TPE
Zayn: I was at the point where I desperately wanted another massive weapon on offense, as I so far only had Lim. I was looking at a few Wide Receivers but instead decided to go for James Lewandowski. The massive TE was a bit older than I was planning on looking at when I was building my offense, but at 900+ tpe and making many huge plays for Baltimore over the year I decided to take him here. He will be an amazing complement to Lim, and will provide my QB, who I have not yet drafted, a nice and reliable target to throw to for the near future. I personally do not know 3lewsers but he seems like a good earner and someone who has stayed loyal to baltimore for a long time so I know he will be able to be a huge leader in the locker room and be able to really make my offense a dangerous one
Round 8, Pick 8 - Tokyo Tanuki
GUNNER THORBJORNSSON, Running Back (S24)
@Z-Whiz - 770 TPE
Swanty: Ok so after picking up Greedy Sly, I was very aware that this was starting to look like I was just drafting my old London buddies. In an attempt to not make a mockery of this exercise, I avoided taking Z-Whiz in the 5th round, fully expecting him to last not much longer. Since then, I have watched helplessly as he's tumbled down the draft order. But THE MADNESS ENDS HERE. I don't know what the other 9 GMs here are playing at, but it's criminal that a current ISFL GM, a testing god who knows everything there is to know about this game, a max earning player with the best years of his career in front of him and an all round super likeable guy in Z-Whiz can fall this far. I no longer care about the London bias showing. Grabbing Turbson here is the biggest steal of the draft.
Round 8, Pick 9 - Seoul Searchers
DB JADAKISS, Safety (S23)
@hotdog - 856 TPE
Katarn: I swear that I did not do this intentionally, but I think this is the third time in this draft that I've taken players from the same team with consecutive picks. Weird. Anyway, continuing the run of defensive players, Seoul elects to take one of Arizona's safeties (sorry @”Crunk”) in order to bolster the secondary. DB Jadakiss was a top 5 pick in the S23 ISFL draft and his TPE certainly justifies it. As I've said before, I feel that the defensive secondary is one position group where TPE players perform the best comparatively. Between Dawkins and Jadakiss, the Seoul Searchers safeties are sufficiently stacked. With both safety spots filled, I figure DB Jadakiss will be more of a strong safety while Dawkins a free safety to roam the field. Dawkins speed is slightly higher but both will be great regardless. Stay tuned for more additions to the Seoul Searchers!
Round 8, Pick 10 - Santiago Condors
RAYLAN CROWDER, Defensive End (S25)
@Asked Madden - 626 TPE
Slate: With the deep well of Season 22 talent starting to dry up and a lack of quality Defensive Ends in the Seasons 23 and 24 classes, I knew for sure that I wanted to target a S25 Defensive End for this pick to give Asher Montain a young star to play opposite him. Before the draft started I knew that Crowder would be my preference among the top-end S25 DEs because of the combination of his high TPE (25 TPE ahead of that scrub Albert Ruschmann) and the amazing user behind the player. Asked Madden is what can only be described as a power user: he leads his own Scottish clique, the 4 Horsemen; he is a member of both the media grading and audit teams (continuing my collection of Auditors!); and he was a first round selection in both the DSFL and ISFL drafts. There's nothing much more to say really - for all the reasons he was a slam dunk pick every time he's been drafted before he'll surely be one for the Condors as well.
Round 9, Pick 1 - Santiago Condors
JACK BANKS, Linebacker (S22)
@TheRocheLimit - 936 TPE
Slate: With a strong trio of offensive skill players, a formidable defensive line, and a strong foundation of my secondary, the largest need on my board was clear: linebacker. The middle level of my defense was entirely bare, and I really wanted to get a high TPE active player to be the foundation of my linebacker corps rather than relying entirely on younger players. User TheRocheLimit was a natural choice here as a highly active S22 user at a position of need. He also used to be on the Audit Team so he fits in with that emerging trend among my team. Ideally my strong defensive line will be able to open gaps in the opposing offensive line, allowing Banks to become a major threat in the run game and on blitzes.
Round 9, Pick 2 - Seoul Searchers
RICH TRIPLET, Cornerback (S25)
@Kotasa - 627 TPE
Katarn: The Seoul Searchers continue to bolster their already strong secondary by selecting one of the best cornerbacks in the S25 class. As many of you know, the S25 class was a very large one hailing mainly from reddit's r/NFL. User Kotasa is among one of the highest TPE players in the class, and near the top for his position as well. Rich Triplet enjoyed a quiet season this year with the San Jose Sabercats, tallying just 2 interceptions and 10 pass defenses. But don't let this meager stat line fool you. Kotasa is certainly among one of the more active users in the league, being a war room member for Tijuana as well as being a part of the much-loved rookie mentor team. Rich Triplet will slot in nicely in the secondary as the Searcher's CB2 behind Matt Krause. Add these two to Dawkins and Jadakiss and that group is arguably one of the best in this draft.
Round 9, Pick 3 - Tokyo Tanuki
MEDICINAL TOBLERONE, Defensive End (S25)
@JuOSu - 629 TPE
Swanty: I know very little about Juosu but I've heard great things from quite a few second hand sources. I'd love to know more about their long history with the league, but looking at the present, and what's not to love about the player they've created? Medicinal Toblerone is one of the best names I've come across so far, and the trajectory of Toblerone's career promises to be meteroric. If Juosu has been around for over 3 years and still going strong, it's almost a guarantee that they'll one day be one of the top defensive ends in the league, right around the time the rest of the Tokyo Tanuki will be hitting their stride. Super happy to have picked up such a promising player and veteran user at this stage.
Round 9, Pick 4 - Fargo Woodchippers
KE'OKE'O KANE-MAIKA'I, Running Back (S22)
@gucci - 1008 TPE
Zayn: Another former Dallas GM!!! Gucci is a well known player around the league due to his time as honolulu GM, were he would take a very Freudian approuch to scouting *wink. In all seriousness gucci is a long time user with loads of GM and War Room Experience, as the founder of the Dallas Birddogs he is someone I respect and enjoy. On top of the user, the player KKM is insane, I mentioned before that i wanted to wait to snag a RB since i think even low TPE running backs can do the job in the ISFL, however KKM is basically Weapon X. He can play at every position on offense from RB to WR and will excel. One of the best Running backs falling to me at this points is something i couldnt pass up on, so I am extremly happy to get gucci this late and with this pick.
Round 9, Pick 5 - Western Reds
BRUCE BUCKLEY, Offensive Line (S22)
@NicholasTheGreat - 1029 TPE
Simo: Speaking of International Simulation Football League players that have won the offensive lineman of the year award, I'm going to double down and pick another player that has won this prestigious award - Bruce Buckley. We need to make sure no one will ever be able to touch the quarter back of the Western Reds and when there are so many offensive linemen around that all won the seasonal award then why not just scoop them all up? This offensive line is really starting to come together now with another great player. Nick the Great is also, as his name says, a great user and will be a huge addition to our locker room and will end up in our war room also. With their experience at Bondi Beach along with Thor it will be great to have him around the team at draft time. One more OL to go.
Round 9, Pick 6 - Munich Machtapparat
TAYSHAWN CRUNK, Safety (S25)
@Crunk - 615 TPE
Pat: The youth revolution in Munich continues! After grabbing Season 25 standout Defensive End, Tex Wrecks, with my last pick, I decided to keep it on the defensive side of the ball and snag up arguably the best Safety in the entire Season 25 pool, Mr. Tayshawn Crunk. He fits into my defense perfectly, as his athleticism and ball skills will let Bowie play down in the box. With Crunk in the defensive backfield covering the deep parts of the field, no one should feel safe throwing deep. While this pick makes sense from a football sense, it makes even more sense from a user and personality aspect. User Crunk is another member of the famed Season 25 draft to find himself entrenched in league leadership, as it only took him his ISFL rookie season before he was chosen as a General Manager for the Arizona Outlaws. He also just happens to be one of the friendliest people you'll meet in this league, and his calm demeanor in the locker room will keep our teams' eyes on the prize.
Round 9, Pick 7 - Pacific Ocean Gulls
DARREL WILLIAMS, Running Back (S20)
@Ry_ - 1327 TPE
Joefish: All the way down in the 9th round, I find the steal of the draft. Darrel Williams is somehow still available, and I pull the trigger. He might be a little older than some of the other top running backs, but that's what backups are for and it's not every day you get the opportunity to grab a 1300+ player so late in any draft. I happily pick up this newest Pacific Ocean Gull from the Colorado Yeti. To be completely honest, I don't know much about the user, Ry_, and I can't check who he is anymore because the Yeti closed their locker room. But I think Darrel Williams is a good enough player to make that not matter and (famous last words) how bad could he be? It's probably a good thing that I don't now who he is, because if he was a troublemaker I'd know about him. Great pick for the Pacific Ocean Gulls, and again, the steal of the draft from my point of view.
Round 9, Pick 8 - Bali Banteng
MAI FUKUSHU, Running Back (S24)
@Jiggly_333 - 766 TPE
Rev: With the 88th overall pick in the redraft, the Bali Bok Choy select season 24 running back Mai Fukushu from the Baltimore Bananas. Hey look, that thing I've been talking about happened! The running back I've been eyeing did indeed fall to me, and with geriatric running back Darrell Williams being selected in the pick before this one, I figured I should probably stop messing around and pull the trigger before I miss out on a solid draft steal. A solid TPE earner throughout their entire career, Mai Fukushu currently sits at 11th in TPE amongst her draft class, and most of the 10 players above her are either above her because of recruitment TPE, or because of rules barring recreates from earning at the rate rookies are able to earn. If I may channel Chris Collinsworth: here's a guy who is a long time ISFL user who is clearly passionate about the league and is sure to bring nothing but excellence to the Bali Banteng on the playing field.
Round 9, Pick 9 - Barbary Pirates
CHUCK ROTH, Defensive Tackle (S25)
@zeagle1 - 586 TPE
Zeagle: Well, it happened. Someone reached for their own player. Of course it was me. How do I even justify this?
Well, as I mentioned in the Goat Tank pick's write up, I know first hand that a low TPE player on the defensive line can be very effective in the ISFL, so I decided to prioritize getting great users who were newer in the league. Ultimately, I would have preferred getting a younger DE instead of a second DT, but there were no real options at DE that met my criteria. As the second highest TPE defensive tackle from S25, and having already drafted the top TPE defensive tackle, it kinda made sense for me to pick myself. 9th round is actually pretty good value, at least.
Look, you might have heard otherwise, but I am a pretty great guy. DSFL GM, a good bit of DSFL and ISFL war room experience beyond that, blah blah blah. I plan on making myself GM of my team. Obviously.
Anyways, Chucky was kind of terrible last season, lining up next to a 1000+ TPE defensive tackle on the defensive line of Arizona, but hopefully now that I am past 600 TPE, hopefully I can contribiute more. Chuck's dream has always been to partner with Mr. Tank, so I am glad to make that come true.
Round 9, Pick 10 - Krakow Knights
VENUS POWERS, Kicker/Punter (S20)
@Baron1898 - 1303 TPE
Hordle: Venus Powers is the best kicker in the league. Can I just end it there? With my focus on defense it’s going to be very important to have a strong kicker. While I have faith in my offense to score, I don’t think we’ll be the scoring machine that other teams (looking at you Simo) might be. People might not like it but you can win games off of field goals and keeping the enemy team deep in their own territory. We’ll see how well this works out for me. While I don’t really know much about the user behind the player. I’m hoping that they will be a decent fit into my locker room.
At the end of nine rounds, the teams are as follows:
Slate – Santiago Condors
RB Zoe Watts, WR Jackson Kingston, TE James Angler
