In all truthfulness I've only watched one game, and that was my own team's lone DFSL competition of the season so far. What I did notice was very nice fluidity of motion on the simulated plays and none of the odd defensive formation errors seen in the Prospect Bowl games (showed very strange defensive formation pre-snap and then shifted back to a standard formation post-snap). I'm not sure exactly how it compares to the old sim, but everything I've seen so far is very crisp and aesthetically pleasing. Now if only my player was performing as good as I'd like...Honestly it's not even that my guy is playing poorly, he just didn't seem to be getting much action from his safety position. In the game Cole Maxwell, the handsome dot sporting number 20 for the Dallas Birddog defense, only accumulated 2 tackles. That was it, the entire stat sheet, two measly tackles. No TFLs, no pass defenses, didn't even sniff an interception. I suppose lack of stats could be a good thing, you can't get tackles or pass defenses if the coverage is good enough to not warrant a pass to the receiver he's guarding in coverage, but it is disappointing to not be making impact plays or putting up numbers on the stat sheet. I suppose I'll have to take this game with a grain of salt and see how the season progresses, hopefully either the stats and impact plays come, or I lower my own expectations, but either way, as long as the Birddogs keep winning (1-0 baby) there's not really all that much to complain about.
