The season wasn’t the best for Norfolk. We didn’t improve much upon the end-of-season record the team had last year. So high light games were few and far between especially for Sam as he was WR3 for most of the season. He only managed 572 yards and only a single TD, far short compared to his rookie peers such as Badger, Quick and Cowabunga. Still he managed a respectable 12.7 avg which is the same as Badger and better than several players who had more yards. His best game was probably against Kansas City near the end of season. The team unfortunately still lost, but Sam performed with 66 yards and scoring his lone TD. Unfortunately his catch rate all season was abismall, continuously only securing 30-50% of his targets. He should definitely work on his competitiveness and hands. His other highlights of the season came in back to back games in which he had longs of 55 yards. The entire team got excited and the crowd was excited. Sam loved hearing the comotion and the positive encouragment he got. The tangible feed back is what pushes him to keep doing better and become an even better player as he works hard in preparation for the upcoming draft.
