As a defensive player, it never feels good to leave the team in a situation where your playoff hopes depend on a literally last minute drive from the offense. In fact, it feels pretty terrible, although we did manage to stop Honolulu around midfield with a minute left to keep our playoff hopes alive. But you have to have some faith that the offense can make things happen. Especially with the Yeti offense, which has been pretty boom or bust all season when it comes to throwing the football. With 59 seconds left in the game and down by seven in a must-win week sixteen matchup against the #1 seed in the ASFC, the Yeti offense took the field. Caliban took the snap, delayed, and let a perfect pass fly to his favorite target – Lim. We held our collective breaths on the sideline as the ball soared through the air, over the head of the gassed defender, and into the arms of the Yeti receiver, who took it all the way home for a 75 yard catch-and-run to tie the game. Our playoff chances were still alive, living on a prayer and hanging on by a thread. The game was going to overtime and we got another shot. Of course, the game ended in a tie, but that was good enough since Philly demolished Yellowknife later in the evening.
