I have to be honest that this one hurts a bit as I do distinctly remember my last draft even though it was almost a year ago now, and unfortunately Magnus is no longer a member of the team that drafted him.
The S22 ISFL draft is still the largest in the history of the league at this point and I expect that fact to hold true for a while yet. While in the preceding DSFL draft Magnus went tenth overall to the Norfolk Seawolves at the ISFL level he went second overall to the New Orleans Second Line who traded a fair amount to move up to second overall in the draft with the intention of drafting Magnus.
That was the team that I most wanted to go to by far and is still a team full of wonderful people who I quite appreciate. Admittedly the reasons I had for wanting to go there then are also in part the reasons why we left, but I am still immensely grateful for the time I spent in New Orleans. Being drafted there they lived up to every expectation I had and then some.
Now I expected to be drafted there within reason as I was only somewhat jokingly told by one of the general managers of the team that if Magnus was available when they went to pick that it was a sure thing. My scouting experience with the other general manager of the team was also better than any I had with the rest of the league at that point. Overall that was where I felt I was most wanted and by extension was where I most wanted to be in the league. Thankfully they were able to make that happen and Magnus got to serve on the defensive line of the Second Line for several good seasons.
