The decision i want to write about was really tough for me. I think it was in season 25 or so. My contract was running out by the end of the season. My gm contacted me to talk about my extension. I was unsure on what to do. There were a few mishaps which cost us 3 inactive players due to missed deadline of extending them. It was a real bummer, as we knew that due to the lack of those players we were in for a tough season or two. At that point i really felt a bit down. My motivation decreased notably and i wasn't sure if or how to continue to stay active in the league.
I told this my gm and I that i needed time to think about my contract.
Finally i decided to extend my contract. Those were the main reasons for me.
First i always saw myself to be a franchise player. I don't like switching teams like most people switch their underwear. Second, i knew that the team needed time to reach it's potential and as i am a key factor in the process of the build i didn't want to let them down. And finally as one of the perks i was about to start as the leading player on the team at my position. Since the team is fairly new to the league i am the first player at linebacker to set team records and i hope that i will be holding some of them for a bit of time.
