Y'all think Skiuuup would turn down an opportunity to inspire youngsters like him? Even if he is locked into a deep playoff run with Berlin, he would never reject his hometown. He took a plane and went all the way to Glenville, GA to coach his alma mater, even if it was for a single game. His first words to his players were simple. "Just enjoy the game, and stay focused. Do not try to force things and exploit the openings you can find. And most importantly, trust your brothers. Everyone sitting in this locker room is part of the family." The team did just that. Come gameday, everyone was hyped. the training sessions had been magnificent and everyone was confident in themselves, and their teammates. The game was tough. They were playing the best school in the state. The game was a shootout. Not because of bad defences, but because of amazing offensive playcalling and execution from both coaching staffs. The teams were trading touchdowns, up until late in the 4th. 2:06 on the clock. Game tied at 49. Glenville High on defence. 3rd and goal from the 1-yd line. Skiuuup calls a 11-man blitz. The chaos allows the opposing QB to pass the ball for an easy TD. Or so he thought. He gets strip sacked, Glenville High has the ball, inside the two minute warning. The two minute drill from Glenville High was pinpoint accurate and as the clocks hit zero, a rushing touchdown was scored. Glenville got the win, Skiuuup was offered a full time job that he rejected, at least for the moment, to focus on his playing career.
