As Melvin wakes up for the day, the very first thing that he does is goes outside and sharpens his antlers. To maintain the terror level that is associated with being known as the Murder Moose, he must make sure that the points on his antlers are as pokey as ever. After awhile of rubbing them onto some wood, Melvin will head out and make his way to the field. He spends the morning looking through his emails and text messages with his co-gm and owner and then looks at what the game plan will be for the team that day. Typically it is practices and drills, looking to shore up any issues that they had in previous games or weeks, and then he himself goes and inserts himself onto the field to join in. As they run through the drills, Melvin is not only looking at his own performance, but is also looking at the team as a whole, and how they are able to overcome the difficulties that encompass being a 23 man football team compared to a 43 man NFL roster. There are no exceptions for injuries, and as such Melvin sometimes has to make players continue to play even if they are hurt. This has been most recently seen in Adelie de Pengu, who after many years of suffering practice and games while still achey and injured, has finally had to call his career quits. At the end of the day, Melvin goes and lays down in his forest, before falling asleep.
