You really hate to see it but the refs can make a ginormous impact on the game of football. One of the times that stand out for Tyron Brackenridge Jr. is during his time in college at the University of Maryland. This bowl game was coming down to the final minutes and the Terrapins only held a 4 point lead with the opposing team beginning to drive the field. Tyron was having one of the best games of his collegiate career only for it to be tarnished by bad officiating. The first of which occurred on a fourth down where their defense was able to shut them down and effectively end the game but the refs decided to call a facemask penalty on the sack but there had been no hands anywhere close to the quarterbacks head. Then finally on the supposed last play of the game it was a hail Mary to the endzone but Tyron Brackenridge Jr. Got called for pass inference thus putting the opposing team on the one where they'd eventually win the game the next play.
