There is one major adjustment that needs to be made as the season goes on. Oles JR has a major fumble issue and he needs to learn how to hold onto the ball. He has already fumbled the ball more than any other season in his ISFL career, and that number will continue to grow with the rate he is going at. Kaz JR needs to hold onto the ball, his biggest issue has been turnovers and putting the defense in bad positions suddenly, so lowering the sudden change situation by making smarter decisions is crucial to the team. Games can be lost by one bad interception or fumble, and a really good team in the Butchers can see a close game disappear because of one turnover, as has already happened this season. Turnovers are a big part of the game and can be a big hindrance to an otherwise good team. This team has had a good season and has had many bright spots so far, but Kaz has to be more consistent to help his team be successful all season.
The biggest thing that Yellowknife needs to improve on to win games is to tighten up on the defensive side of the ball, right now we are -36 in the points differential and that won't win you many games giving up that many points. In fact the 293 points given up is the highest mark in the conference and probably one of the highest in the league. Our offense is right about average for the conference when it comes to scoring so if we can get better on defense we should definitely start winning more games. What would be a great place to start is creating more big time impact plays of defense which includes tackles for loss, sacks and turnovers. Not only do those big impact plays stop the other team from scoring but it gives our offense better field position for them to score more points. On the bright side we are on a 3 game winning streak so maybe we've gotten some luck combined with the defense starting to gel more.

The Sarasota Sailfish really could not be happier with how this season has gone for us. I came into this season thinking that maybe, just maybe, we may miss the playoffs for the first time in what almost a year now. But the sim has blessed us, giving us many of the close 50/50 games that we usually lose. This has resulted us in having a 7-3 record and only one game off the best record in the division/league. While the team has done well, Carter Knight has been very meh, however for a rookie quarterback I have to say that Knight has been fairly solid. While very conservative in play calling, he has led an efficient team, with the 6th best offense in the league. However, the defense is really the star of this team, with big plays coming from a variety of players, but the unit as a whole has been great. Top 3 in rush D, top 5 in pass D, and #1 overall. When we have needed stops in close games, I know I can always trust the defense to hold hard and allow for me to get a chance to be great. Speaking of... Carter Knight and this offense has been surprisingly very good in the clutch two minute drills that are needed to win games. In the future, this team will be even deadlier, as soon as the coach lets me air it out...
